Trigenics® – the NEW neuromuscular technique!

Trigenics is a revolutionary neuromuscular treatment system that has been proven remarkably effective for treating the aches and pains that result from physical injury, as well as for correcting the energy imbalances that can leave you feeling sluggish, fatigued or depressed.
The approach to Trigenics is quite simple: using an established diagnostic protocol (primarily an advanced muscle-testing technique), the therapist is able to locate areas of neuromuscular weaknesses or imbalance in the body. Subsequently, by using a complex series of manual muscle manipulations combined with patient-focused breathing techniques and movements, the Trigenist is able to reinstate proper neuromuscular function, thereby restoring the body’s natural physiological and energetic balance.
Originally developed as a tool to enhance the effects of the chiropractic adjustment, Trigenics has since proven to be a very effective stand-alone therapy that can be used to treat any number of peripheral joint injuries or syndromes. The results obtained with Trigenics are often quite miraculous. Patients who have never realized relief from other therapies can achieve significant results after only one treatment! One thing that separates this technique from other similar approaches is the pre and post testing that the therapist performs to ensure that the procedures are effective. The patient is left knowing that something beneficial was accomplished after each and every treatment.
Conditions that benefit from Trigenics:
Sprains and strains.
Given the nature of traumatic injuries, the body will immediately go into protective mode, and will often create muscular spasms around the injury site. If these areas are not addressed immediately, the result is typically a nerve/muscle cycle of spasm and pain that will progress into dysfunctional biomechanical patterns. Trigenics has not only been demonstrated as an incredibly effective tool for reducing the swelling and inflammation that follows acute traumatic injuries, but it has also established itself as the treatment of choice to correct those dysfunctional patterns that are created by post-traumatic stress. Common conditions: whiplash, sports injuries, low back pain.
Rehabilitation of chronic injuries.
Chronic injury patterns almost always involve facilitation – a spinal condition that affects nerve-muscle pathways via the resulting dysfunctional neuronal firing patterns. As Trigenics is based upon neuromuscular physiology, it has been shown repeatedly that patients with chronic pain and facilitation patterns will receive benefit from Trigenics when other forms of manual therapy may have failed. Not only are the results obtained with fewer visits, but the effects are often more permanent and much more dramatic. Common conditions: chronic headaches, chronic low back pains, carpal tunnel syndrome, IT band syndrome.
Energetic imbalances.
These types of conditions may include things like depression, chronic fatigue, and fibromyalgia-like syndromes. With the Eastern philosophical influence in the development of the Trigenics protocol, each muscle or muscle group is associated with a separate acupuncture meridian. Therefore, applying the Trigenics protocol to muscles affects the flow of energy through the associated meridian, and in effect will influence the flow of energy in the body, such that interferences in the body’s chi can be identified and removed. Thousands of years of study in the ancient art of Chinese medicine has shown that disruptions in chi are destructive not only to the body’s physiology, but also to a person’s spirit. Often, Trigenics patients will remark after a treatment that they feel lighter or more energized and more grounded. This in turn enhances the physical effects of the treatment, allowing for some of the extraordinary benefits that Trigenics’ patients experience.
Sports performance enhancement.
NHL players (Bobby Hull), acrobats with the Cirque de Soleil (Kristen Wingfield), and professional boxers (Lennox Lewis), among others, are only a small sample of the athletes that have been successfully treated with Trigenics. Any activity that involves muscular contraction can benefit from Trigenics. Speed, power, and strength of muscular contractions all depend upon proper muscle/nerve coordination and the length/tension properties of the muscle itself. Trigenics has been designed to improve the communication between the nerve and the muscle and to restore the proper resting tone (length and tension) of that muscle. The results are amazing. Preliminary studies performed on speed-skaters have shown that there are immediate performance benefits after only one treatment! Trigenics is poised to become the treatment of choice for all athletes looking for that cutting edge tool to improve their game. Not surprisingly, the athletes who are currently receiving treatment are going to great lengths to obtain it!
What we’ve experienced at Back2Health is that following the application of these Trigenics treatments, bones seem to move much easier, creating less strain on both the patient and the chiropractor during chiropractic spinal adjustments. In addition, muscle function is restored, such that nerve and muscle system coordination is facilitated. This allows for better strength and flexibility of the tissues, thus contributing to the healing and rehabilitative response in the injured areas. Finally, with muscles more balanced around the spine, musculoskeletal alignment is optimized. Patients often remark that they feel taller following these treatments!
With the synergistic blend of soft tissue and chiropractic therapies that we use, patients are often referred to our clinic for injury repair and rehabilitation, performance enhancement, bio-functional optimization or for stress management and energy rebalancing. This approach is also very applicable for both infants and geriatrics.
If you would like to find out more information about the benefit of this myoneural (muscle-nerve) treatments system, and how it may benefit you, please make an appointment today to have your neuromuscular system mapped out for its strengths and weaknesses! (778-622-3663)
