Back2Health Chiropractors:
Your Back2Health chiropractors are Dr. Christian Guenette and Dr. Kelsey Horsting. Our main healing tool is the chiropractic adjustment, but we also use a variety of manual therapies -- including A.R.T., myofascial release therapy, Trigenics, plus exercise and stretching advice for effective rehabilitation -- a combination of treatment methods used to restore your body's optimum balance and function. We are truly holistic chiropractors: we treat not only the pain and imbalance we find in the body, but also investigate the source of this pain and imbalance -- related to life stress, energy imbalances, etc. Together, we have over 30 years of experience in holistic health and healing. This combination of mind and body approaches is often the main reason why our patients provide such raving reviews and testimonials.

How do you know if a chiropractor is skilled enough to work for you and your condition?
I believe that all chiropractors have good intentions - and that is, to help their patients.
However, like any other health care practitioner, you might look for certain characteristics that will make one better than the other. These are just a few of the criteria you might look for:
Here at Back2Health, Dr. Guenette and Dr. Horsting have a combined 30 years of experience at this Kitsilano location, treating patients from all over the lower mainland of Vancouver (and beyond).
We are extremely proud for receiving so many 5-star reviews from clients, and we commit to maintaining that standard of excellence with you, too.
One of our passions is patient education - our goal is that no person will leave this clinic with a question remaining in his/her mind about their health and wellness concerns. And, if we do not know the answer right away, we are committed to finding that answer for you before your next visit.
Our doctors believe that if the body is receiving the right care, it will let you know right away. This is why many patients continue to seek care at Back2Health: they know that their chiropractors and Dr. TCM will listen to their needs and concerns, they will provide answers, and if they are not able to help their patients get better within a relatively short period of time (depending upon the condition, how long it's been around, etc.), then we will refer you to a different health care practitioner that we believe will serve you better.
Every practitioner at Back2Health is 100% committed to your health and well-being. Make an appointment, and come experience holistic wellness at Back2Health for yourself!
Yours in health,
Dr. Christian Guenette and Dr. Kelsey Horsting
I believe that all chiropractors have good intentions - and that is, to help their patients.
However, like any other health care practitioner, you might look for certain characteristics that will make one better than the other. These are just a few of the criteria you might look for:
- Your chiropractor has more good reviews than bad reviews. Nobody can be perfect. However, when a chiropractor has multiple bad reviews, this might be a sign that they are not paying close enough to the patients' needs.
- Your chiropractor listens to your concerns, and provides answers to your questions. Why is this painful? Can you help with these kinds of conditions? How long might it take to recover? These are just a couple of common questions from patients that chiropractors should be able to provide answers for. And, even if the chiropractor says, "I don't know," that is more honest than providing an answer that is wrong. A good chiropractor will conduct a thorough assessment of your problem, including a history of your symptoms and general health, and then after a complete physical assessment, he or she will be able to provide a diagnosis of your condition and a proposed treatment plan. If any of these components are missing, you might want to seek a second opinion and/or option.
- You feel some improvement within the first few sessions. Although after the first session, sometimes conditions can even be more sensitive than less sensitive, this should not be the trend. Within 3-4 sessions, your body should be able to give you some feedback that you are moving in the right direction. If not, then the type of treatment provided may not be the best option for you. This is true for any treatment modality that you are using. As long as it's trending in the right direction, you're probably on the right path.
- Your chiropractor has experience treating similar conditions to yours. With experience, a chiropractor can give better predictions for your response to his or her treatment. The confidence in levels of expectation for time to recovery, potential side-effects, and helpful exercises and stretches improve with the number of years of experience. If you're unsure where to get started, look for a practitioner who has at least a few years of experience, and has seen a number of patients with the same or similar condition.

Please Read Before Booking
If you have any of the common symptoms of a cold or virus (most notably a combination of FEVER and/or COUGH and/or HEADACHE and/or LOSS OF smell/taste), we ask that you avoid booking an appointment and consider seeking medical attention instead. You should also wait a minimum of 10 days before booking a consultation if you have reason to believe you have been exposed to a virus.
To minimize exposure to others, please do not come into the clinic until your appointment time - and, when you arrive, we will provide hand sanitizer and/or a hand-washing station for your convenience, if needed.
Medical masks are no longer mandatory in our clinic, but your concern is our priority -- so, just let us know whether you would like us to wear one. We can also provide a medical mask for you if you don't have one.
Thank you, the management at Back2Health.
